They will explore the meaning and significance of ‘living as one’ by making the best of their environment, the kids will learn to identify their ‘lives’, and learn how to communicate with their families, friends and carers.
“Kids who have mental health issues and their children are particularly vulnerable in their relationships,” Dr O’Connor said.
“They’re often at greater risk of abuse and neglect.
They’re at risk of violence.”
Kids will learn how: “When you are not with someone who understands what you’re going through, what is the most important thing that they can give you?
How can they help you?”
How can they take care of you?
What can they do for you?
Who are their role models?
What are they doing to support you?
